I understand that my paintings, like life, are often unclear and evoke more questions than answers. My paintings are abstract and often depict an illusion of visible reality.  A camera may capture a sunset with a foreground laid with wild flowers, shades of green peppered with spring colors. This photograph hangs in a cafe and all who visit, with a consistency, will reference the sun, the flowers, the field.

My interpretation of figures, forms, moments, captured on canvas elicit infinite translations and evoke individual reactions.
